Exciting changes for Miramar Underwriting

Over the last seven months, Miramar conducted a Broker Service Review where we sought feedback from more than 400 brokers on how we can make things simpler and easier for them.

Feedback from the review highlighted areas where we can improve; particularly on responsiveness to new business and issuance of renewal terms. Brokers also highlighted they want Miramar staff to invest more time in deepening relationships and working more collaboratively on claims.

In response to this feedback, we recognise the increasing pressures broker clients are under, and have aligned our business to meet the future demands brokers will have of us. 

Over the next 18 months we will be starting a journey to deliver more responsive solutions and services to brokers, enabling them to better advise and advocate for their clients. The first step in this journey starts with making investments in our leadership team with several recent appointments including:

Grant Bowen, State Manager for WA.

James Fitzpatrick, State Manager for VIC, TAS & SA regions, and we are currently in the process of recruiting for State Manager for NSW, ACT, NT & QLD.

Dominic Ivory,
 Product Manager for Liability, and we are in the process of recruiting a Product Manager for Property & Engineering.

I’m really exciting about what lies ahead for Miramar and how this new structure will set up our brokers for continued success, now and well into the future.
